On October 26, 2025, the 6th Shanghai Butterfly Football Cup (SBFC) brought together over 400 players, 1,700 visitors, and supporters from across Shanghai — all united by one goal: to make a positive impact on children’s lives.

A Day of Teamwork & Community
The tournament brought together 32 teams for a full day of competition, collaboration, and community spirit.
From the opening whistle to the final match, the energy was electric — players encouraged one another, families cheered from the sidelines, and volunteers ensured everything ran smoothly.
Every moment reflected the event’s purpose: connecting people through action, teamwork, and kindness.
Impact Beyond the Game
Originally founded to support children with Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB), the SBFC has grown to support a wider mission.
This year, the tournament supported 9 charitable organizations focused on health, education, and inclusion — helping children with heart disease, autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and providing educational opportunities for underprivileged youth.
Inspiring Stories, Lasting Change
The Butterfly Cup is inspired by Zhou Mi, a young girl whose courage and optimism continue to motivate everyone involved.
Her story reminds us that even small actions — participating, donating, or showing support — can make a lasting difference.
Thanks to years of collective effort, the Butterfly Cup community has already helped establish 15 permanent hospital beds and a specialized medical team at Fudan Children’s Hospital.
